Holiday Caravan Finance and Commission: What to Look For

Keep the credit paperwork separate from the park licence and identify who arranged the finance.

When a static caravan or lodge was bought using finance, there may be several legal relationships: the buyer and seller, the pitch licence, and the regulated credit agreement.

Keep the finance agreement, pre-contract information, statements, affordability material and any disclosure about the seller or broker receiving commission. Note who recommended the lender and whether alternatives were discussed.

A finance complaint may have different time limits and complaint routes from a dispute with the park operator, so obtain advice based on the specific documents.
